April Meeting – Baseball!
For the April monthly meeting of the Rogers Hornsby Chapter, we will be attending the Round Rock Express vs. New Orleans Zephyrs game scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17 at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock. Tentative plans are for a pre-game meal at the Salt Lick restaurant near the southwest corner of the Dell Diamond parking lot. Plan to meet at the Salt Lick at 5:30 p.m.
If you plan to attend please indicate (1) the number of people that will attend the pre-game meal (for the purposes of making a reservation at the Salt Lick) and (2) the number of game tickets required ($12 plus $1 convenience charge each). Please send an email with those numbers to Jan Larson at jan.a.larson@gmail.com no later than Monday, April 12.
Tickets will be purchased on April 12 and the pdf file containing the tickets will be sent to each attendee shortly thereafter.

National SABR Day Get-together
The Rogers Hornsby Chapter will hold a get-together to celebrate National SABR Day on Saturday, January 30 starting at 6:00 p.m. This will be held at the home of a chapter member in northwest Austin. Please email Jan Larson at jan.a.larson@gmail.com for directions.
Wear your favorite jersey or cap and perhaps bring a meaningful piece of baseball memorabilia. Food will be provided, bring your own beer. We will be taking a chapter photograph at 8:00 p.m.

October Meeting Announcement
The next meeting of the Rogers Hornsby Chapter of SABR will be on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the home of Gilbert and Raeanne Martinez.
We’ll watch both National League Division Series games that day (the only two scheduled for that day).
This will be an open house of sorts — feel free to arrive an hour before the first pitch of the first game (MLB has not yet announced the start times for these games, but I anticipate a late afternoon start for the first game).
Gilbert will grill burgers, so if you’d like to bring side dishes, appetizers, snacks, beverages or the like, feel free.
Everyone is welcome to stay as long as they’d like.
As soon as MLB announces start times for the games, I’ll send out another reminder.
